Primetimers
Primetimers is looking for a new coordinator with Marcia Richmond stepping down the end of this year. Responsibilities include recruiting trip leaders, sending Primetimers updates to the church webmaster, monthly write-ups for the Messenger, as well as setting up and leading planning meetings approximately 3 – 4 times a year to decide on monthly trips. Join the Primetimers for "Dinner & a Show" on Saturday, September 15. Dinner at Morgan's at 6:00 PM, followed by New Bern Civic Theatre's production of The Rainmaker at 8:00. Dinner will be Dutch treat and tickets for the show are $16.00 each. Make your reservation before August 30 by sending a check for $16.00 (for each ticket) payable to CUMC to Dee Smith, 106 Clipper Court, New Bern, NC 28562. The Rainmaker is a delightful musical that all PrimeTimers are sure to enjoy. Questions may be directed to Dee Smith at 634-4192.

November 8 & 9: The Primetimers (age 55+) return to Myrtle Beach to see the ever-popular, spectacular and uplifting Christmas Show at the Alabama Theater. We’re limiting the trip to 22, as we’re taking the church bus. We must have a minimum of 20 to get this package deal. Larry and Nancy Gilliam are the trip leaders with Joe Hudson driving us. . Trip includes overnight lodging with free breakfast at the Ocean Reef hotel (2 queen beds per room), gas for bus and show ticket. Lunches & dinner are Dutch treat. As always, no refunds for cancellations, but substitutions you get are ok. $50 deposit per person will hold your place on the bus. Total cost of trip is $110 for singles (not sharing a room) and $160 per couple sharing the room. First come, first serve. Your check is your reservation.
