Primetimers

Primetimers are a group of 55 and older folks that enjoy Christian fellowship and socializing together. You don’t need to be a member of Centenary to attend a function. Bring your friends and neighbors who are welcome.

We also meet the third Thursday of each month for a luncheon and entertainment in our church fellowship hall at 11:30 a.m. The cost is $6 for a lunch catered by Glenburnie Deli. This gives you the opportunity to meet the congregation from all three services.

Feb. 21:  Break the Winter doldrums with a little SPICE!! The February Primetimers trip will be to the Spice Bouquet factory in Kinston on February 21, 2012.Watch as the chef explains cooking techniques, prepares, and serves a multi course meal to guests.The gift shop will also be open to purchase gift items and spices. The bus will leave CUMC parking lot at 10:00.Cost of the trip is $18.00 per person – make checks payable to CUMC and mail to Dee Smith, 106 Clipper Court, New Bern, NC 28562 by February 13.Any questions, contact Dee at 634-3192 or howwwdeeee@embarqmail.com

March 20, Tuesday:  Primetimers are going to the Airborne & Special Operations Museum in Fayetteville.  Bus (holds 28 passengers) will depart the church at 8 am.  Cost is $10 plus your Dutch treat lunch.  The movie and/or motion simulator at the museum are additional charges, if you chose to participate.  The museum has displays from the 1940s, WWII, Korea & the Cold War, Vietnam, and Contingency Operations & Training.  Your check is your reservation.  No cancellations, but substitutions you get are okay.  Make check out to CUMC and in the memo line write Fayetteville trip.  Mail your check to Trip Leader Mary Florence at 911 Capstan Ct, New Bern, NC 28560.  Please be sure to include your contact information – phone and/or e-mail..  Mary can be reached at 633-2851 or jflorence1@suddenlink.net.  In addition to being 55 or older, all Primetimers must have an up-to-date medical form on file to attend any trip.
