United Methodist Women

UMW Purpose

The organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.

Who is a member of the United Methodist Women?

Any woman who commits herself to the purpose of the United Methodist Women and to engage in mission, study, personal growth and social action can join. You don’t have to be a United Methodist or meet an age requirement to be a member.

Centenary Circles

The names of the Circles, meeting times and locations are as follows:

Sara Porter Rejoice Circle meets on the first Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. at members’ homes.

Susan Miller Circle meets on the second Tuesday of the month at 10:00 a.m. in the Chadwick Room.

Some of the organizations and projects supported by the UMW are RCS, MERCI Center, UMCOR, FUEL, Empty Bowls, Prayer Shawl Ministry, Youth activities and White Christmas.
