Friday Greetings - August 13

What time is it? From the small clocks on our cell phones to some of the biggest clocks in the world, humans are obsessed with time. But that doesn't mean we've learned to always use the gift of time well.

In the New Testament, the time we often read about is kairos. You won't find it on the hands of the dial or the digital numbers on a screen. Instead, kairos refers more to a decisive time -- the right time, the appropriate time.

Paul's admonition to the Ephesians to "make the most of the time [kairos] because the days are evil" gives us room to explore ways we can better use of all we've been given...as individuals and corporately.
