This week, we step into Luke's account of the Transfiguration story. This is literally the mountaintop of mountaintop experiences. Have you ever had what you might call an experience that was meaningful and powerful for you and your faith? Peter, James and John witness Jesus in a strange and supernatural way. They're unsure of what to do with this experience. They want to build dwelling places as a memorial of sorts. Jesus gets them off the mountain in a hurry and begins to heal, showing them the nature of God is not to sit aloft on mountaintops, but to be in the thick of things with those who need to experience the healing and love of Christ.
