PRAYER MINISTRY

Those who are in need of prayer can have their names put on our Prayer Chain. Once the name is on the Prayer Chain, that person's concern is prayed for by all members of the Chain. 

 

THE PRAYER CHAIN

There are various methods of getting the information to the Prayer Chain which include the following:

 

  • In church - fill out the prayer cards in the church pews and place in offering plate.
     

  • Monday - Friday,
    9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., call the church office at 637-4181 to place a name and concern on the Prayer Chain.
     

  • Saturday - Sunday,
    call 252 637-4181 and leave the name and prayer concern.

PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY 

May they be blessed, given comfort, healing and strength.

 

May they be reminded that the are loved and not forgotten.

 

We share our prayers as the shawl is made.

 

Meetings are once a week.

STEPHEN MINISTERY

Are you going through a tough time — emotionally or spiritually? Struggling with a crisis in life? Or simply feeling down?  Consider letting a Stephen Minister help.

Stephen Ministers are members of our congregation who are trained to listen, care, encourage, and provide emotional and spiritual support to people who are facing a crisis or going through tough times. The care you receive is confidential, free, and very helpful.

​

To learn how you - or a friend, neighbor, co-worker or relative - can receive care, talk to a member of the Pastoral staff or a Stephen Minister.

​

If you want to speak to a Stephen Minister at a worship service, look for a person with a blue nametag.
