Have you ever heard the “Parable of the Good Samaritan”? Did you know that less than a thousand Samaritans still exist today? Did you know that Samaritans and Jews were mortal enemies in the time of Jesus? Did you know that in the Lord’s day, “Love your neighbor” meant neither “Love the person who lives next to you” nor “Love everybody”? Did you know that the story of the Good Samaritan was so radical that it made Jesus’s enemies angry enough to want him dead? Most importantly, did you know that the central message of that story is the mission of every Christian and is just as controversial today as it was two thousand years ago? If you’d like to know more, new Pastor Vann Spivey is preaching from Luke 10:25-37 this coming Sunday. Give him a listen and join us to praise the Lord!
Join us Sunday— 8:30 in the chapel or on Facebook, 9:30 in Sanctuary or on Facebook, or 11:00 in the Sanctuary, on Facebook, or on the radio at 97.9FM.
