Friday Greetings - May 29

“Spirit of the living God, fall afresh on me. Spirit of the living God, fall afresh on me. Melt me, mold me, fill me, use me. Spirit of the living God, fall afresh on me.”

Most of us could sing those words from memory, having used them as a sung prayer in various settings. They are the earnest plea of people of faith for the Holy Spirit to come on us and make us into the people of God. Pentecost Sunday is a chance to await the Spirit falling on the community of faith. During these uncertain and difficult days, we need more than ever for that Spirit to fall on us, to melt us, to mold us, to fill us, to use us. Join us at the lot by the Galley Store for a special time of worship at 9:30 on Sunday.

• If you are more comfortable, we will be on Facebook live at 9:30 and on 97.9 The Bear at 11:00

• If you would like to sit outside, please bring a chair or blanket to sit on

• If you are more comfortable, feel free to sit in your car for worship

• There will be no bulletins, no passing of an offering (we will have a plate for you to leave an offering if you wish)

• We will have communion and ask that you take a communion kit from the gloved “ushers” when you arrive

• We ask everyone to refrain from singing as singing is one of the practices that spreads “droplets” the most

• We ask everyone to wear a mask

Pastor Tom
