Elections and Christian Behavior

Another Presidential election season is upon us, and already, people who consider themselves followers of Christ are forgetting who they are. Incivility and ugliness abound on social media, much of it propagated by believers. Yet Galatians 5 says this: “… enmities, strife, jealousy, anger, quarrels, dissensions, factions…. those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.” Remember that no matter how strongly we hold our political beliefs, they are NEVER more important than our faith or fellowship with others. If you win an argument but lose a friend or family member, you’ve won nothing. Let’s be better, brothers and sisters.
