September Sermon Series
During September, I will be preaching a sermon series that connects Scripture with some of my favorite Kenny Chesney songs. Whether you enjoy country music or not, I hope you find that the lyrics of these secular songs can help us all connect with Scripture more deeply.
This Sunday's sermon connects Jesus' words in Matthew 11:28-30 to a song titled "Noise," which you can listen to here: LINK. It reflects on the constant "noise" around us that threatens to drain the life from our souls. In this often chaotic journey called life, Jesus speaks to a world filled with noise that pulls us in a dozen directions, inviting all who are weary and heavy-laden to come to him for rest. We will also gather at the table of Holy Communion to share a tangible reminder in the bread and the cup of the life-giving rest that Jesus offers.
I hope you will join us for worship at 8:30, 9:00, or 11:00, and then again for our Fall Kickoff Lunch at 12:00 noon!
